Additional Educational Needs Support

I believe inclusive education begins with relationships, respect, and the understanding that every student learns differently. My experience within AEN/SEND settings, particularly through placement in Carmona School, St John of God's, strengthened my understanding of differentiation, communication, sensory learning, and the importance of calm, supportive classroom environments where students feel safe, capable, and valued.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiation remain central to my teaching practice through the use of visual supports, step by step demonstration, accessible language, scaffolded learning, and flexible outcomes. I aim to create engaging and inclusive Art spaces where students are encouraged to participate confidently, develop independence, and experience creativity as a meaningful form of communication, self expression, and connection.
