Origins 2022 was a group exhibition presented by Lismore Castle Arts, featuring selected emerging artists from undergraduate degree shows across Ireland. The exhibition brought together a group of female artists whose practices explored themes including identity, memory, the body, social media, intimacy, trauma, and contemporary visual culture.
Presented alongside Lismore Castle Arts' wider programme of international artists, Origins offered an important opportunity for emerging artists to exhibit within a professional gallery context. The exhibition responded to themes explored within Simone Rocha's girls girls girls exhibition at Lismore Castle, continuing conversations surrounding female experience, representation, and the diversity of contemporary artistic practice being produced by the next generation of artists in Ireland.
My work within the exhibition explored atmosphere, memory, identity, and emotional space through photography, installation, and image making.
