Biography

I am an Irish artist teacher based in Bray, Co. Wicklow, currently completing the Professional Master of Education in Art and Design at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

My experience across creative education, studio practice, English as a Second Language teaching, and AEN Art education has shaped my interest in thoughtful, inclusive, and visually engaging learning environments. Having studied within both creative arts education in San Francisco and Fine Art education in Ireland, I value classrooms that encourage curiosity, discussion, experimentation, and confidence through making.

About me

Biography

I aim to create Art spaces that feel calm, purposeful, and creatively ambitious environments where students feel respected, supported, and encouraged to take pride and ownership in their ideas and creative development. Through clear structure, visual demonstration, active methodologies, and collaborative learning, I encourage students to develop independence, critical thinking, and confidence within their work. I am particularly interested in student participation within curatorial processes and how exhibition making, reflection, and presentation can support visual literacy, engagement, and student agency within the classroom.

Alongside classroom teaching, I enjoy contributing to wider school culture through collaborative projects, exhibitions, wellbeing initiatives, productions, clubs, and creative events that encourage participation, belonging, and positive relationships within school communities.

Alongside teaching, I maintain a creative practice across painting, photography, writing, installation, and research. My work has been exhibited at Lismore Castle Arts and the NCAD Graduate Exhibition.
